In the context of plummeting industry revenues, along with the cost of investment to replace legacy systems, the reengineering of revenue recognition and accounting processes, became critical.
Designed a dedicated accounting and reporting module to seamlessly integrate cash collected on music rights and distribution for rightholders, Defined requirements of the target revenue recognition on rights collection and distribution. Accounted for specificities across different categories of contract.
Creation of a tailored distribution accounting module fully integrated with Oracle e-Business Suite (Settlement of €1.0 million worth of undistributed rights) Assessed disruptions in the revenue recognition process and proposed target solutions to stop €2 million incurred losses and eliminate risks evaluated at 5% of a cash flow stream estimated at €40 million/year.
